Every site with constant, stable side-onshore winds (10 to 35+ knots), huge open bodies of water and excellent launch locations are suitable for trainer kiting. Most kiteboarding takes place along ocean shores, usually off beaches, but it can also be practiced on large lakes and inlets and occasionally on rivers. Since snow kiting relies to a great extent on favorable, consistent wind flow conditions, particular places tend to become well-liked and sought out by kiteboarders.
